A SWIFT code alone won't get money into a specific account, though. Where Each Code Applies and Why It Matters
IBANs dominate transfers within the Eurozone and in countries with close banking ties to Europe, including Turkey, Israel, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Banks in the United States and Canada don't issue their own IBANs, but they do recognize the format and rely on it when routing outgoing payments to countries that use one.
